Parthak Prodhan, M.D., is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Divisions of Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Critical Care at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and practices at Arkansas Children's Hospital. 
 
He is currently the Program Director of the Cardiac Intensive Care Fellowship Program and the Medical Director, Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, Arkansas Children's Hospital. 
 
Dr. Prodhan is a pediatric intensivist in the Divisions of Pediatric Cardiology and Critical Care. He is board-certified in Pediatric Critical Care and General Pediatrics. He is a member of many national and international organizations, including the Society of Critical Care Medicine, American Academy of Pediatrics, and the Society for Pediatric Research/ Pediatric Academy of Sciences. He is also an active member of multi-institutional consortiums working to improve care for critically ill children with heart disease. 
 
His clinical interests include taking care of critically ill children in both the cardiac and pediatric intensive care units. His research interests include clinical outcomes research at the institutional and multi-institutional level. His focus is in the areas of cardio-pulmonary mechanical device support and anticoagulation practices for patients on cardiopulmonary mechanical device support. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and presented at major conferences.
