Starting your career at Arkansas Children’s…
The Arkansas Children’s Medical Staff Services provides the information needed for new applicants for medical staff membership and privileging.
New Applicants
To request an application for medical staff membership and privileging, please email us at medicalstaffservices@archildrens.org.
UAMS or PHO New Hires
If you have not received an application please contact your hiring manager to assist you in coordinating with our Medical Staff Service Team.
Process
After requesting an application, you will be asked to provide all the necessary documents for our Medical Staff Credentialing process. After submitting an application, a checklist will be sent with specific requirements that will assist you to track your own progress. For your convenience, we have also listed the conventionally required documents referenced in your checklists below. As this is an extensive process, Arkansas Children's has other required documents outlined in your information packet. Our hospital is planning on moving to an online application for our credentialing process. Please check back at a later date to learn more.
Status
Once your file is completed, it will be submitted for approval by our Medical Staff Executive Committee and the Arkansas Children's Board of Directors.

- Current DEA Certificate
- Primary Source Verification of Education, Board Certifications, Affiliations, and Malpractice History
- Three Peer Recommendations
- Criminal Background Check
- Query of National Practitioner Databank
- Query of the Office of the Inspector General (OIG Sanctions)
- Health Status/Ability to Perform
- Current Attestation
- Appropriate Immunizations
- Signed Statement Agreeing to Abide by the Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, Policy and Procedures of Arkansas Children’s and the Medical Staff
