Dr. Alexandra Theisen is the Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics Department of Pediatric Rheumatology. Dr. Theisen's research interests are primarily focused on systemic lupus erythematosus. She participates in the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA) Workgroup focused on neuropsychiatric systemic lupus erythematosus (NPSLE). This aims to further define/evaluate manifestations, treatment, and prognosis in patients with NPSLE. Currently, Dr. Theisen is working on a project focused on health-related quality of life in adolescents with cutaneous manifestations of systemic lupus.
