Dr. Miquel-Verges completed her medical school at Universidad La Salle in her native Mexico, Pediatric residency at Penn State Hershey Medical Center and Neonatal Perinatal Medicine fellowship at Johns Hopkins University. 

The American Board of Pediatrics certified her in General Pediatrics in 2006 and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine in 2010. 

She joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences faculty in 2009 and is now an Associate professor of Pediatrics, division of Neonatology.  

Dr. Miquel-Verges is a clinical educator that works primarily at Arkansas Children's Hospital (ACH).  She holds several leadership positions at ACH, among them she is the director of Neonatal Transport.   Her interests include education, particularly simulation based; extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and transport medicine.
