Psychiatry services are available at the UAMS Health Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Center and are designed to help with problems related to anxiety, depression, conduct and behavior problems, emotional adjustment difficulties, learning difficulties, attention problems, child management issues and other psychiatric disorders affecting children, adolescents, and their families. 

  • Serves children up to age 18
  • A Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry program, and part of the UAMS Department of Psychiatry/Psychiatric Research Institute
  • The Child Therapy Clinic offers brief comprehensive evaluations as well as individual and family therapy.
  • The Psychiatric Care Clinic is the child residency training clinic for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Division and offers diagnostic evaluations, medical consultation, and treatment

  • 30,285 patients screened for depression in ambulatory areas
  • 2,059 completed encounters behavioral health resource coordinators had with families across the state to navigate barriers and access resources
  • 221 total attendance of month educational sessions provided by Arkansas Mental Health Access in Pediatric Primary Care (ARMAPP)
  • 36 learning sites participating in ARMAPP monthly sessions
  • 175 total educational certificates issued during ARMAPP monthly sessions
  • 114 people and 41 counties were in attendance at the one-day symposium offered by ARMAPP
