Robbie Pesek, M.D., is the interim section chief of Allergy and Immunology at Arkansas Children's, a professor of Allergy and Immunology and program director for the Allergy and Immunology Fellowship program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). He also serves as the medical and research director of the Arkansas Children's Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disorders Program as well as medical director of the Arkansas Children's Severe Asthma clinic.

Dr. Pesek received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and completed his medical degree at UAMS. He completed his Pediatric residency at Arkansas Children's Hospital (ACH) and fellowship training in Allergy/Immunology at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. He joined the faculty at ACH in 2011.

Dr. Pesek's current research areas of interest are in Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disorders (EGIDs), food allergy, and asthma. He is a sub-investigator in NIH funded research of novel food allergy treatments. He is a member of the NIH-funded Consortium of Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disease Researchers (CEGIR) whose aim is to improve the lives of individuals with eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders through innovative research, clinical expertise and education via collaborations between scientists, health care providers, patients, and professional organizations. Current studies include investigation of the natural history of eosinophilic gastritis, enteritis, and colitis as well as dietary management of children with eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE).
