• Arkansas Children's performed its first transplant in 1990. Our 30-year history of heart transplants include:
  
  • Averaging 11 transplants annually, performing as many as 31 in one year
  • Following more than 1,100 congenital heart disease patients
  • Reading 1,000-1,300 echocardiograms monthly across the Arkansas Children’s system
  • Performing an average of 450-550 procedures in our state-of-the-art labs each year
  • Being recognized with a PHTS Vanguard Center Award for our outstanding contribution to the Pediatric Heart Transplant Society Registry
