Babysitting 101 teaches young adolescents the essential skills to be safe, nurturing and fun caregivers. Designed for students ages 12-14, this engaging course builds confidence and responsibility, preparing them to thrive as babysitters. Babysitting 101 is an introductory babysitting class taught by trained instructors from Arkansas Children's using the Safe Sitter curriculum. The class covers essential childcare basics and safety topics, such as recognizing choking, CPR and emergency preparedness to ensure positive caregiver skills. While this course provides instruction and practice, it does not provide CPR certification.

Registration for Summer 2026 Babysitting 101 classes is now open.

Please note that each class has a $35 fee, which is due upon arrival for class. This fee provides each student with class materials and a healthy lunch.
