Babysitting 101 | Arkansas Children's

Babysitting 101 provides young adolescents with the skills to be safe, nurturing and fun babysitters. Targeting all students 12 to 14 years old, this class will help participants become more confident, responsible and prepared caregivers. Babysitting 101 is taught by instructors from Arkansas Children's using the Safe Sitter curriculum and is a great introduction to the basics of babysitting. Choking Rescue, CPR and other important safety topics are addressed, but this class does not include certification in these areas.

Classes are held annually each year during the summer.
Class dates will be posted on March 5. Registration will begin at that time.

Summer 2025 Babysitting 101 classes will be held in-person at the following locations: Arkansas Children's Hospital (ACH), Arkansas Children's Northwest, ACH Jonesboro Clinic and Child Care Aware of West Central AR. Each class has a $35 fee, which is due upon arrival for class. This fee provides each student with class materials and a healthy lunch.

June 13, 2025 at ACH in Little Rock (9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.)
June 17, 2025 at ACH in Little Rock (9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.)
June 18, 2025 at Arkansas Children’s Northwest in Springdale (9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.)
June 19, 2025 at ACH in Little Rock (9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.)
June 24, 2025 at Child Care Aware of West Central AR (9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.)
June 26, 2025 at Child Care Aware of West Central AR (9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.)
June 27, 2025 at Arkansas Children’s Northwest in Springdale (9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.)
