Karen Farst MD, MPH Karen Farst, MD, MPH assumed the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) role in 2024 after working for 20 years with the Team for Children at Risk at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

Following medical school at Texas Tech University, she completed residency training in internal-medicine/pediatrics and served as pediatric chief resident with UAMS/ACH. After residency, she was in private practice in Rogers, AR for 3 years before completing fellowship training in child abuse pediatrics at Cincinnati Children's Hospital.

She has served on the Board of Directors of the National Children's Alliance and the sub-board for child abuse pediatrics with the American Board of Pediatrics. She will continue clinical service with Team for Children at Risk while working in the CMO role.
