Jason Williams, Psy.D., M.S. Ed., serves as senior vice president and chief mental and behavioral health officer at Arkansas Children's and division chief of child and adolescent psychiatry at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). He has extensive knowledge in the field of Psychiatry and Psychology and is known for his leadership at the local, regional and national level.
As the Chief Mental and Behavioral Health Officer, he is responsible for further developing the Arkansas Children’s mental and behavioral health service line structure to meet the needs of children with mental, behavioral and developmental challenges across the system.
Prior to Arkansas Children's Dr. Williams served as Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and as the Director of Operations in the Pediatric Mental Health Institute at Children's Hospital Colorado. He received his master's degree in education from the University of Southern California, and his doctoral degree from the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles, California. He completed an internship and postdoctoral training program at the Children's Hospital in Los Angeles.
