Dr. Samar Sohail is a pediatric rheumatologist at Arkansas Children's Hospital, where she cares for children and adolescents with a range of rheumatic and autoimmune conditions, including juvenile idiopathic arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus.
Dr. Sohail earned her medical degree from The Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan, and completed her pediatric residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. She went on to fellowship training in pediatric rheumatology at Children's Hospital at Montefiore in New York City. She is board certified in general pediatrics and is a member of the American College of Rheumatology and the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA).
Dr. Sohail has a particular interest in childhood-onset lupus, with ongoing research exploring how social determinants of health affect care retention for young patients with the disease. She is also actively involved in medical education and resident teaching.
