We treat nearly all children who receive care at Arkansas Children's, whether they have a common illness or a rare condition. Our pathologists are experts at performing tests to diagnose everything from acute appendicitis to rare forms of pediatric cancer.
Our pathology team also works with your child’s doctors to determine the best treatments and to ensure that your child responds well to the care and treatments provided.
Arkansas Children’s provides different training rotations to residents in the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine (UAMS) Pathology program. Residents from the Department of Pathology and Department of Pediatrics complete multiple rotations in pediatric pathology at Arkansas Children’s. In addition, one student each year from the Medical Laboratory Sciences Program at UAMS also takes part in pathology training.
