Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH) – Little Rock

Arkansas Children's Hospital Receives FACT Accreditation for Cancer & Blood Disorders and Certified as CAR-T Site

The Cancer and Blood Disorders program at ACH has received internationally-recognized accreditation by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT), designating the program as offering the highest-quality patient care.

FACT is an internationally-recognized accrediting body for hospitals and medical institutions offering stem cell transplant, and indicates ACH has met the most rigorous standards in every aspect of stem cell therapy. This covers the entire spectrum of stem cell therapy, from clinical care to donor management, cell collection, processing, storage, transportation, administration and cell release.

The Cancer and Blood Disorders program at ACH is also a certified CAR-T site. Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cells use the patient's own genetically-modified T-cells to attack and kill cancer cells. This therapy treats some of the most challenging pediatric cancers, including B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). We are currently using CAR-T cells treatment known as tisagenlecleucel (Kymriah).
