Borderline (Decreased) Activity of Biotinidase Enzyme: 40.0-50.0

• Do this test NOW:
  • Submit a repeat HL-11 newborn screen specimen to the health department.

Abnormal activity of Biotinidase enzyme: <40.0

• Do this test NOW:
  • Serum Biotinidase Assay
  • Start infant on Biotin 5 mg orally daily or 2.5 mg orally twice daily.
